Star Drilling has worked multiple rigs with GHD for two years drilling geotechnical bores for the three possible routes of the Northeast Link.
After the Bulleen Rd option was chosen, we spent a further three years of geotechnical drilling and are still working on the project today.
The drilling involved wash boring, well installations (packer testing single and double), pressure metre testing, SPT\shelby tube tests and HQ3 diamond drilling.
